As a general rule, check the last thing that was done. Hopefully it's something this simple. Please let us know what it turns out to be.

Welcome Aboard! Yes you will need a code reader to reset them. You could also use a ScanGauge II or I think you can use an OBD-II dongle and the Torque app. And in line with what @obermd said, post the codes here before you reset them so we can maybe help with seeing what all was wrong.

Hello All. Got a CEL a week or so ago, the notorious P0171. I cleared the code and it came back. Starting with the possibly cheapest thing first I pulled and cleaned the MAF sensor with the CRC cleaner. It was still idling rough but I was hoping it was the "relearning" I read about.
