Both the NCLEX-RN ® and the NCLEX-PN * are a variable-length, computerized, adaptive tests. The NCLEX is not offered in paper-and-pencil or oral examination formats. The NCLEX-RN and the NCLEX-PN can be anywhere from 85 to 150 items. Regardless of the number of items administered, the time limit for this examination is five hours.
Took mine this morning, cut off at 75, and got the good pop up too!! I have friends that said to check nursys.com 24-48 hours after your exam for your license to be posted, so that's what I plan to do. You can also get your quick results on NCSBN's website 48 hours after depending on the state you tested in. You will receive an email at the end of the exam (an hour & 2hours after) if you would like you could do the pvt or do the quick pay 48hours later ( if that is an option). And if God forbid you didn’t pass they send you a paper via mail that says where you what you were weak on/ strong on.
